Frequently
Asked Question
Here are a few question that you may wish to ask before deciding on
a treatment. Please feel free to use the Contact
Us page for any other
questions.
Waxing |
Q |
How long does my hair have to be before
I can have waxing? |
A |
Generally, ½ cm, but
you are quite welcome to come to the salon to have a free consultation. |
Q |
Will the hair on my top lip and chin grow back
thicker and darker and will I be stubbly? |
A |
Not at all - this is a myth. Shaving would make
the hair feel stubbly and corse as you are slicing the hair off at
skin level, but with waxing, the hair and the root are removed, so
re-growth is softer. |
Q |
Is waxing painful? |
A |
It all depends upon the individual, as all people
have a different pain threshold. For some people, waxing is extremely
painful, and for this I would recommend an aspirin before coming for
a waxing treatment. If your pain threshold is low, it can be slightly
uncomfortable, but only for a few seconds, but the smooth look is worth
it with no hairs for many weeks. |
Q |
How long does waxing last ? |
A |
Generally, up to four weeks before re-growth starts
to show. Most people go between 6 to 8 weeks. |
Q |
What wax do you use? |
A |
A green Tea Trea wax for sensitive skin. |
Nails
|
Q
|
My nails are awful. Its pointless me having a manicure! |
A |
You are definately the person we want to see. Our range of nail
products cater for he most challenging of nails. We have a range
of treatments for any nail type and condition to care and nourish
for them. |
Q |
My nails keep breaking - they do not grow very well. |
A |
Have a Silk overlay on your natural nail to strengthen
them and you will be amazed at the results. |
Body Wraps
|
Q
|
How much weight will I lose with a body wrap? |
A |
Body wraps do not make you lose weight, but to trim inches from
your body. |
Spray Tanning |
Q |
" I'm scared
I will turn orange! " |
A |
No, you will definately not go orange. You will have a natural
shade of colour. The depth of colour will depend on your skin type
- i.e. naturally olive skin will go darker than fair skin with freckles. |
Q |
How long will my tan last? |
A |
Between 5 to 7 days. Moisturising will prolong the
tan. |
Q |
Will I still get a sun tan on holiday after having a spray tan? |
A |
Yes you will. |
Q |
But I always get dark patches,
especially on my ankles, elbows & knees! |
A |
I cannot stress enough the importance of exfoliation
at least a week prior to your spray tan. This happens when you have
dry skin - it is not the tanning product. |
Q |
Will I look streaky? |
A |
Definately not! |
